Ahead turning the other way*

Slumber we seek through the night
Arising in a few to see the light
Holding onto those last moments of dreams in sleep
Something holding back, so very deep
But when our eyes awaken to be up in the morn
All of yesterday's past is long gone
We should move on as we heard morning call
But instead something has gripped us to hitting the wall
The wall is our teacher and we must see its meaning and learn
And to see that we are not the wall and go the other way and never return
