The Philosopher and the Blind
ReplyDeleteThe neatly dressed Philosopher was walking down the street when all of a sudden his glance was caught by a beauiful woman, begging at the gate of the Temple. The Philosopher was amazed by her beauty and grace. Saddened by her disability and overtaken by compassion he approached the woman and asked "What can I do for you?". "Nothing", she replied, "what is there that you can offer that I don't have?" "Food, shelter, cloths. health care", the Philosopher replied. "Oh, that I all have", the blind said. "People give me all I need, I have a cellar to sleep in and some fresh hey to make my place softer, I have cloths that are said to be nice but I cannot see. I bathe in the river and wash them every day, so I am clean, and my blindness is innate and incurable. Also people give me food and some money to donate to the temple." "Maybe I could teach you some of my wisdom?" the Philosopher asked. That brought a sad smile on the woman's face "I was born in darknss and live in darkness", she replied, "Tere is no room for knowledge in my head". "What else can I do to make your life more complete?" the Philosopher insisted. "Love me", was the answer, "I have never experienced man's love".
So the Philosopher took the blind women home, and yes, she was clean and fresh and had a wondrful young and strong body, which he liked and they loved each other. Thus the woman learned what a man looked liked, by gently touching his body, smelled his charming breath and tasted his passionate lips. Then unexpectedlyf, the woman uttered an unusual sound, AUM, and widely opened her eyes... Yes, she could see...
Shw saw the devine light of so many suns and moons, she saw universes one inside the other, one pouring out of the other and then merging again. She heard the tender sound of Infinity's roar and she saw herself. Now she knew she was beautiful...
At this very moment she turned her eyes to her lover and so him standing in full confussion. She did not spent time on what caused it, but took him in her gentle but strong arms and squeezed into the tiny little gap in between the Univeses. He did not resist, for he was bewildered by what he saw. And the two disolved in the Eternity.
my Dearest Mieke....if Love gets stronger and stronger within a relationship or outside one, one feels stronger and stronger in their hearts with awareness and many epiphanies unfold with them as well.....this is why the aim is always Love which is balance as balance does make it grow...enjoy Love(+)

My Dearest Shiamala...I am in tears reading this...for one who was always blinded was blinded by their own ignorance not to see...when one truly understood the true value of someone else's Love for them they felt the heavens rumble and then opened their eyes Now in their own belief to see with such Love..I guess that is how a heart works as well..for many years it hurts until one day someone comes into their life and expresses such Love and the heart feels no more hurt in this and now is opened with power with its growth and balance only to Love more...I am sorry but I got emotional reading your comment..I LOVE YOU ALWAYS...and I thank you for opening my disdained heart from such a long time...enjoy your day Love my tears will subside(+)
