From the warmth that came one day

Settled down and went its way

But another turn of events came

This was a season that was not the same

It started out as a cool breeze

That nature felt it should let go with ease

For now it was preparing something ahead

The warmer temps left for the cooler instead

As the days gone by as now it is the past

You would believe that the cold would be gone and not last

But to this day the cold is still here

You have to know that spring is near

The days have more light and are now longer

Should it be that the warmth is stronger?

But heck no, water on the roof does not drip

Frozen icicles and the ground frigid, cold has its grip

So I make a statement to Mother Nature to see

That all of that death in the winter has to let go and let it be

Please open up softly and give rebirth to what you will bring

Say bye of what is bothering you and melt to bring on spring

Come around to go around*

The wind blew the dust around

Coming right behind it without a sound

The dust was taken by surprise

There was no time to open its eyes

It was a warning of things to come

If only the dust had legs to run

Late this was as anew comes the season

Mother Nature knew of its reason

A winter was fast approaching with its chill

The dust knew now that it was to remain still

For a blanket to lay upon it with snow

Time was nearing here to finally let go

So it stayed dorment and gave up as it tried

Flurries swirled around it this time not to arise

Death was to be only a moment then would pass

Winter is in the cycle not to last

As one day will come and the warmth shall be felt

All that surrounded the dust will finally melt

Do not ever fight this manner or even fret

All things shall move on when it is perfectly set

To look at this we note that things are temporary you see

Somethings that become a bond as other things are freed

Beginnings may be a struggle to reach the end

But always remember in a cycle the end begins again

Mother Nature sheds a tear of love*

Mother Nature sheds a tear of love*

I woke up this morning, hurt was in the air

It was Mother Nature weeping and she was in despair

I did see the clouds that came rolling in the sky

Something hit her emotions as she started to cry

The sun came early on with a shed of light

But it seemed to bring on my darkness after the night

I said to her "please do not cry for it is these tears that you give"

"It is all in the way things are so that everything here can live"

She smiled deep within herself and I felt it in her heart

And with this feeling she had within her, believed in a brand new start

So now she knows that if she sheds more tears to come

That it will be always good for nature to make harmony as one

A masterpiece of colors that are now here in spring

Everything is sprouting in such wondrous art

Yes it is Mother Nature with love in her heart

A veil, it has been covered and it was time to detach

Now it is the joy and warmth that makes this all match

So now it is spring and the days they are long

To show all this beauty more and more, right where it belongs

Out of the sky came a gentle wind
A breeze like no other, a beautiful blend
It came down to visit where it could be
Through openings all around, even crevices in the trees
It blew itself under the branches to give a lift
Even pushed itself between rocks that had a rift


It danced all around, twirling like a wheel
Blowing at the tall grasses, covering the field
As this superb gentleness made more of its show
Spectacular movement in being invisible, as it blows
But that is what it did not come here for
Not even with all its force to open many doors


No, it was Mother Nature to watch all things move about
To show how her force is in Love, without a doubt
She wish to see things in a different style
To put happiness in her well being and to give her a smile
She always knows that softness triumphs over all things
With this ease in gentleness, for it is Love that this brings

I take another stroll through the Town Park

I see the depths of the water appears to be dark

It seems to be a lazy afternoon today

The ducks swim by me and go their way

I did notice something floating on the water slowly there

It was a duck's feather sailing freely without care

The winds whip very fierce by its side
It comes from the warm ocean and cool skies
Its path of destruction loves to fly by
It moves ever so faster when it is out to sea
About 70 miles inland it becomes calm in letting it be

The tree stands so poise, it has no leaves
Sunlight, air and snow it does receive
Deeper the roots go but frozen ground is here
Winter has played rough with it and it has no fear
But by spring beauty will abound, fruit will bear
The tree will be full close up and far away,
And does know that Mother Nature plays fair
