There comes a time when all is done

A point directing back, now as one

Nothing to look forward to or to be sought

Blank canvas reality, "mind" to be naught

Opening up the surface, the deeper it becomes clear

Knowing that this feeling is already here

Like how a drop of water enters a pond to dissolve

Merging of all that was within, a higher consciousness to evolve

No longer are events that always persist

That part has gone now nothing there exists

Slipping further away, no longer that you will be

Refuge within is your home, and origin that you now see

Alone in this moment as I drift away

All around in detachment no longer to stay

A deeper sense of being to walk to the abode

My heart patiently settles to release a heavy load

The closer I get, feeling the embrace with its arms

A richer feeling of acceptance as this turns warm

I can never look back in where I just came

Just like a lit candle wick with its flame

Tho there may not be nothing here but empty space

But that is OK, all of what use to be is erased

Within that I become and chaos has now ceased

I have found my home within and all of its peace

Walk away from a place to my eyes within 

And meet that point of solitude once again

Melting into the soil, deep in this ground

To feel the nature below me with its gentleness all around

To no longer see a reality early on that once was seen

But to now go even deeper beyond my eyes to dream

A place seen earlier that wounds and sorrow lives in blight

But to turn around and see a Soul* within my sight

Yes, I know that once I am one on the other side that I see

It is the Soul* that calls me home, a home with inside of me

The myth we confront as what eyes to look

Goes by like the pages of an  open book

For what is without us is an illusion indeed

That is not who we are when we know who to be

When you narrow it down and watch it implode

The external world begins its end and starts to erode

Take away its darkness in the night

Or brilliance of the day with its light

When you leave this by itself you will get a better view

You will find out of one only, it is you that is the truth

So no longer can you be what made you outside of here

You have now established a place, so accurate and so clear

Nothing else can possibly be a life you once known

Sought nowhere to go from that, in missing your home

Hence you will find out that all stems from you within

Every moment that this happens, a new you always begins

Walk through many miles, the hard way was each step

Tough was the going, many times I did wept

But I pursued onward as something pulled me through

It kept saying to me, I still have you in my view

Please do not give up as I have you in my arms

I am the one you do not see, sheltering you from each storm

Hold on a little longer, this is how the shell of a seed opens wide

I cradle you and protect you, from each and every side

I feel that you somehow know me, your heart is opening now

Yes, this is getting stronger, you accept me and I do allow

For now we both know of each other and we have each other in sight

Somewhere I wandered moving about in its space

A place that I have never seen before, beauty in this place

"Turn the other way" it said, in which I was heading for

There is a lot to see right here with so much more

So I took its advice and walked down its way

I could not believe my eyes, this was the place to stay

I entered it and immediately I felt so alive and  free

How could this ever be and happen to me?

For some reason or another it said "it was time to go home"

All those things that you were burden with, now they are done

When you came in here, you would never wander and be apart

That was the day you seen what loved you always, it was your heart

Once, you were very young and was sent into a place

You came across many things and seen many a face

You know that this journey is destined to be a long one

But that will do you good, you will see when it is done

Traversing these roads in search of who you are

And yes the journey gets longer, so very very far

That is OK for you have patience in where you stand

No need to seek the next moment, it has you at hand

Every part that you have gained in experience you went through

Keeping a fresh look, always having you to be in its view

Moving much further, more experience that you will see

For the Spirit that you take along is so happy and carefree

But now you know why you were chosen in what this all about

To be shown a lesson, to trust who you are without doubt

As all has passed and it is penniless you arrive

Those experiences on the outside are gone but still your alive

This was not how one holds on and attaches with its gains

No, this was how one lets go in all the experiences that came

Knowing of this, it was your Soul* that was on this journey that was long

You have now found Ithaka, your heart that you now belong
