The Mighty Mohawk River*

The Mighty Mohawk River*

The eagle flies high above the domain
As the land is blessed and it is not stained
The crow calls out over the forest green
As the crystal clear waters to the end can be seen
Deer and moose walk in the fields of barley wheat
As Native Americans walk in moccasins and some in their bare feet
Fish a plenty in all the Erie Canal waterways
Mountains and ranges from the Heldebergs to the Adirondacks
The river finds its way to the open cracks
Great Warrior and Keeper of the Eastern Door use arrow, bow and quiver
As to live, fish and hunt on the Mighty Mohawk River
